Week 34

Time is passing so quickly. I am very excited to finally have our little girl, but I think I will also miss being pregnant. Logan and I started our childbirth classes this week and we agree that this whole 'baby thing' is becoming more and more real for us.

I have been surprised to learn that my belly is not always perfectly round. In fact, it rarely is round. Sometimes I look down and see a definate spike in part of my stomach, or one side will be flat and the other will poke out. Sometimes she hangs out completely above my belly button and sometimes completely below. It is really interesting to see and even more interesting to watch her change positions.

Our baby girl is very active and she is getting stronger and stronger by the day. The aches of pregnancy have started to catch up with me. Sciatica has begun to set in in my lower back and legs. If anyone has any advice for this please let me know :). Other that that... everything is great.

Hey I had the same stinkin problem with my back and legs, well just my right leg but boy is it painful! Unfortunately there isnt much you can do from what I understand. I asked my father-in-law who is a dr and he said try and sleep on the opposite side of which ever leg hurts worse, and that can be hard to do anyway since your not really supposed to sleep much on your back either. And laying down or standing is much better for it than sitting. I was working sitting all day and mine got so bad I could hardly walk, once I quit my job and was sitting a lot less it went away. Also when I was laying down I kept a heatpad on it that helped. Or he said if it gets too bad just take some Tylenol. Anywho...there's my two cents. By the way I am having a baby shower this thursday and I need your email address to send you the little invite the girls who are throwing it sent out. Sorry its such late notice. I got your message by the way and it got erased before I got the number! I'm so sorry! So hopefully you get this soon so we can get in touch. Yeah if you can send me your email I'll just forward you the invitation they sent out and we were thinking to have ya'll over for dinner or something! So yeah, I'll just wait to hear back from you I guess!

Try putting tennis or raquet balls in to the hip/butt cheek area. Just jam it into the area where it hurts and lean against something to keep it there, like the couch or pillows, so the rest of your body can relax. That's what I always did. Heat works too. Oh, hey I got a massage chair for Christmas, you could use that! It can get out some mean kinks in the back.
